Grupo HEBE’s new project in Toro

In the "Denomination of Origin" of Toro, the “Lomopardo” estate is Grupo HEBE’s headquarters for a project whose first wines will appear towards the end of 2007. The estate, which is planted with Tinto de Toro vines (Tempranillo) is located in an outstanding area of this controlled appellation situated in the municipal district of Morales de Toro.

Bodegas y Viñedos del Sayago will be located on the estate itself. There are plans for the construction of a modern winery which will have a maximum production capacity of 120,000 bottles and which will be equipped with all the latest technical and enological advances in order to guarantee the best wine production from this up-and-coming winegrowing area.

The model is similar to that of the Bodega de Cal Grau (DOC Priorat) insofar as initially two types of wine shall be produced. One top of the range wine will be made from a selection of the finest grapes grown on the estate and a second wine will embody the different features of all the vineyards.

The wines will follow the model and philosophy of Grupo HEBE in that they will be a reflection of the terrain they come from and will embody the unique characteristics of the area.
