Maceration time: 15 days in 5,500 litre tanks.
Ageing: 13 months in new, 300-litre French oak barrels.

Comments

There was a definite difference between some of the barrels of wine from the Almendro terroir and the others. These wines had more mineral and ripe fruit notes. In keeping with the Winery's policy to separate wines according to their quality and type, we decided to bottle this batch separately, as it is the perfect expression of this vineyard's different plots. The grapes for this wine come from the westernmost area of the estate, which has a larger proportion of limestone and limesoil.
